Centred on Bundaberg, the Coral Coast is the southern gateway to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. It’s linked via air travel and boat cruises to 13 islands and more than 20 reefs. The region has glorious beaches with the hinterlands occupied by large green farming areas of pineapple, sugar cane and 14 National Parks. The town of Bundaberg is home to Bundaberg Rum, famous for its potent Queensland sugar cane spirits.
